Absolutely amazing experience. The server took care of our every need. Did not bombard the dinner by constantly checking up on us. Everything was perfectly timed The food came out very quick. My gf had a Greek salad and she loved it. And yes, they serve real Greek salads. I had the Pastitsio and it was perfectly cooked. We both split the Spanakopita and it was phenomenal. The best spanakopita I’ve had in a while. Overall, the food was delicious. I’m not Greek, but I attended a Greek school growing up and have been to Greece several times, and I will say this is one of the most authentic food treating restaurants I’ve been to in the United States. We had their homemade gelato and loukoumades and it was exceptional. At the end, the chef came up to us and asked us if we were enjoying our meal in the middle of a busy dinner rush. It’s the small things that mean a lot. Overall, I could not be more impressed and satisfied with my experience. I recommend this place 100%. I will be back

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Philosophia! The food was truly delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was romantic and cozy, perfect for a special evening. To top it all off, we even received a complimentary dish from the chef, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. We extremely recommend Philosophia to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!

In my opinion, the best restaurant in the Charleston area. Food is fresh and has a unique taste compared to most restaurants. I highly recommend the spanakorizo or the zucchini cakes. They have a great assortment of wines with my favorite being the Nemea. The staff are incredible and clearly enjoy being there. When you walk in, you get a feeling of Mykonos or Santorini as it has a beautiful flower display with colorful Greek art.

We recently celebrated two birthdays at this restaurant and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Our reservation was honored promptly, and the table was ready for us. Our server, Kathy or Katie (apologies if I mistyped your name), was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and served quickly. We were truly impressed with the level of service. A special highlight was the complimentary desserts, which added a thoughtful and generous touch to our celebration. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning soon!

We had an amazing experience celebrating two birthdays at Philosophia! Our group of 10 all loved the food, and the service was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the feta in phyllo dough with honey, the meatballs, and the octopus. The flavors were perfect, and the atmosphere made the night even better. Highly recommend!

Justin and the entire crew at Philosophia easily became our favorite restaurant in the area thanks to their incredible food, creative cocktails, price point but most important their hospitality. If you’ve read Unreasonable Hospitality, you can get the same sentiment that this crew is redefining hospitality and restaurant business. Cannot wait to come back with all our friends and family. Food: Greek salad, keftedes, kavaria, braised lamb shank, goat cheese potato’s Dessert: chocolate dipped Baklava and a coffee gelato

Keftedes (meatballs) tzatziki (white dill dip) & Pastitsio (lasagna looking dish) were my faves! Absolutely wonderful place for date night! The Spanakopita is more of a spinach dip between phyllo but that being said I’m a tough customer being Greek and having the best Spanakopita in the family. I’m also so sorry that I cannot recall the waiters name but he was FABULOUS. Glasses and a tattoo close to his neck he was knowledgeable and extremely aware/diligent even with a full house. The Pastitsio is not with traditional tube pasta - it is with lasagna pasta and this is GENIUS because in a dish that typically is difficult to eat without your face and plate looking like a murder scene from mafia movie - you actually get to have the full flavor of a traditional Greek Pastitsio with the meat and sweat sauce and the noodles hold it together nicely. YiaYia would be proud of this version of the dish. The meatballs (and sauce) tasted like my mother’s. Delish! The Hummus was also old school Greek with actual chunks - I got so used to factory whipped smooth hummus that I forgot how it was supposed to be! And very yummy. I will also add that the tzatziki was perfection. The lemon and dill were both in perfect ratio. You have to order the Trio for sure. We will 100% return. I will add (and I thought about not including this but it might be helpful to many and it’s a fact of life) 9/10 times hubby and I eat Greek we have a 2nd date night on the toilet and that did NOT happen here. Very fresh very well cooked high quality ingredients. Very fairly priced for what you get. Greek wife approved.
